Inspired by Puakalaunu or Crown Flower which was said to be the favorite of Queen Liliuokalani (1838-1917), the last reigning monarch of the Hawaiian Islands. Puakaunu is a beautiful lavender flower that looks like a crown and is often visited by the lovely Monarch butterfly.
